A handmade junk journal with a New Zealand sewing & craft theme that was made as a Mother’s Day gift. The soft pinks and yellows reflect femininity, while references to women sewing during war time show the strength of women, especially in times of crisis.
It is a mix of vintage ephemera, upcycled book pages, writing paper, bookmarks, journal cards, pattern paper, vintage buttons, safety pins, paper clips, and patterned cardstock, with 80+ pages.
There is space for journalling or scrapbooking, in addition to pockets and “tuck spots”.
The cover is a recycled hardcover book, measuring approx. 20x14cm (~5.5″×8″), covered in handmade pastel pink paper from India. It is secured with ribbon.
Please note that computer monitors can display colours differently so the colour you see on screen could be slightly different to the actual art work. Custom journals are available – please don’t hesitate to contact Zee to discuss your project.
